Cuddy and House did it. Yay. I'm very happy and I squeed about it plenty. But I honestly enjoyed the other parts of the episode more.
I'm a big hurt/comfort fan (what'd'ya know, given 4/5 of my stories are such), and I really enjoyed there actually being some of the second half--comfort--, for once, instead of just hurt.
House is always detoxing, dying, elecrocuting himself, being drugged, stabbed, shot; given seizures, heart attacks, periods of unconsciousness, and worsening pain.... the list obviously could go on for longer than this post. But even though he would usually scorn comfort....nobody even tries. Okay, yes, Cameron cleaned a cut on his arm. He... endured that. He wasn't happy about it, he obviously wanted her out of there. But, you know, she tried. And that was realistic.
This episode had what I think is probably a record-breaking amount of hurt in it, which is par for the course for this show. But Cuddy helped when he asked, Wilson helped when he asked, Foreman tried to figure out what the hell was going on even though he didn't ask, and that was actually... you know, realistic.
Not to mention, Cuddy helping him was as beautiful as a sweaty, puking, out of his mind lead could allow it to be. Which was pretty damned beautiful.
I think it meant more that he asked her, and let her see him in that state than it did that they had sex. He's clearly had a physical attraction to her the entire show, and visa versa. But he's never let her in emotionally like that before, with the possible exception of when he went to her for intracathsomemorelettersicantremember morphine.
Also.... the show finally friggin adressed his vicodin. Not clear exactly how it'll turn out yet, but it's finally being paid some amount of attention.
Probably more later when it's not midnight and I don't have class in the morning.
