I can't even describe the emotion this evoked properly. I literally gasped an "Uh! Uh! Uhhh..." but it was absolutely and definitely NOT from disgust. The cliche would involve punches in the gut, but that wasn't what it was like (or at least, how I imagine that would be like, since I'm fortunate enough to have never had that experience). It was more like emotional shock that just stuttered out.
