Our garage has two large barn-style doors, and my forge and anvil and such are stored behind them. there's a layer of concrete right in front of them, that's old, cracked and broken. when the ground is frozen, the concrete rises up, and it's impossible to open the doors. sliding the anvil out of the garage by two feet is a challenge, so there's no way i can get it all the way to the person-sized garage door and up a step, and then down two steps. so... basically i can't forge durring the winter.
today's the first day the ground's been un-frozen enought to open the doors. YAY! i haven't forged for months so i was out of practice and burned my hand. but still, yay!
