Rating: PG-13ish... traumatic themes, but nothing that would get an R rating.
Summary: An exercise in writing something really *really* sad that isn't a deathfic, and actually has something resembling a happy ending. House gets stoned. He doesn't actually get hurt, but it's not really necessary.
Warnings: as you can probably tell from the summary, this is *not* a happy fic. It deals with issues that are traumatic, and it deals with them very closely throughout most of the fic. Simply put, if what happened with Chase and his mom, or people not being themselves, bothers you, think before you read this fic. It's not very long, but it's the saddest thing I've ever written.

Notes: Reviews and flames alike are welcome. (They make it look like I'm writing fast) I wrote this because I saw a line that went something like "House was stoned, which was usually funny" and it was from Chase's point of view. I thought chase might not find anyone being stoned funny, and that led me to write this fic, which is decidedly *not* funny. The song I listed for the music is the saddest song I've ever heard. I usually turn the radio off when it comes on, because though it is very good, I made the mistake of listening to the lyrics once, and it's... well, really sad. But, well, it goes with this fic.
